I’m based in Durham, North Carolina, but recently had the opportunity to attend a conference in Washington DC for my day job.

After four days at the conference it was time to visit the National Portrait Gallery of the Smithsonian Institute and make some pictures. I was pleasantly surprised that the Portrait Gallery has a number of very beautiful statues as well, like the one in the picture posted below.
